I know, but thats still some expensive meat. The jerky I normally buy is like $10 a lb.

It's a rare indulgence, but it is seriously good. Ridiculously good. My roommate was driving back from Tahoe and passed through Bishop, where Mahogany Smoked Meats is based. He usually picks some up for himself, though he likes the teriyaki. I'm just a fan of spicy food, so I asked him to get me the Habanero. One sliver of it the size of my pinky finger sends my mouth into fiery throes of agony/pleasure. It's awesome.

Our "Fresh X-Mas Turkey" which was 22lbs, cost a bit over $100. It was the most excellent turk we've ever had. 😀

Milk will help you better. But yes, habeneros are the greatest.

I use extra lean ground beef for a quick cheap jerky fix with the dehydrator. DELICIOUS!
