They finally pulled Dr. Dean Edell's radio show.

It was a horrible mix of leftist politics and bad medical advice.

Good riddance.

What was some of the bad medical advice?

What was the "leftist" politics?

Do you think they pulled it because they think it gives bad medical advice and "leftist" politics or because it had bad ratings or some other reason?

I have no idea. I'm just glad he's off the air since I like listening to radio in that time slot.

OT bullcrap as usual. It is a newsworthy as starting an OP to inform us that your neighbor down the street was fired for his leftist politics. RIP, who cares?

Wait, if you can't identify bad medical advice or leftist politics he made, then how can you know his show was either of those?

It sounds like you don't know anything about his show, in which case you shouldn't be passing judgment.

*CRICKETS*

Why does rip start threads (that are essentially unsubstantiated trolls) and then not follow up on them? It can't be time because he starts new threads.

It's pretty obvious that Rip knows absolutely nothing about this radio personality. The reason he gives ("I like listening to radio in that time slot") is totally lame (as if there are no other radio stations to listen to in that time slot).

I think Rip has been told by the Pastor of his church that Dean Edell's going off the air is a good thing. So of course Rip thinks it's a good thing, too. In fact, I'm wondering if that pastor didn't actually instruct the congregation members to pass on "the good news".

Which brings up an interesting thought: Maybe almost EVERYTHING that Rip posts on ATPN is under instructions from his Pastor. Have you ever noticed that Rip has almost nothing of substance to say when challenged on his trol . . ., er, . . . insightful articles?

Ah, Rip, how much of what you post here is your own, original thinking?

And by the way, Rip, what's the name of your church? I'd really like to check it out on the web.

My answer was in response to your question about why they pulled him off the air.

And your answers to the other questions?

If you say he's liberal and a bad doctor, shouldn't you offer reasons why that's the case? Otherwise, why should anyone take you seriously?

So it had absolutely nothing to do with him being a leftist?
If this station is something you like, I'm sure it has other right wing material. Is this what you mean by coming to its senses, it's full of partisan crap?

It's "medical" show but he constantly bashes Bush/Repubicans.

He was replaced by Sean Hannity.

this is pretty weak "news"

Are you a fan of Dr. Dean?

i have no idea who dr. dean is.
ill go look him up and see if he is even in my market.
my point was that a local radio station no longer syndicating a show that a forum regular apparently never listened to is hardly "news."

What the hell kind of medical show is that?
when you say bash, do you mean give expert advice on policies in a respectable way, or pointless namecalling?...there is a distinct difference.

Example?

Or better yet, post examples of how Sean Hannity is not the same thing as this Dr. with an R on his sweater instead of a D? This post stinks of hypocrisy.

I can see how someone in the medical profession with ETHICS, unlike our dearly departed board troll, might take issue with the Bush administration.

Mixing medical advice and politics just didn't work out.

I suppose that why he's off the air.

Examples of this please? You are just making outrageous claims and not backing them up.

I suppose that why he's off the air.

I thought you said you didn't know why he's off the air? What made you change your mind?

Well when you DO know what they pulled him for, please share it with us all. Your OP, ya know. There are many reasons shows get cancelled in local markets.

It probably wasn't bringing in enough advertising dollars.
