Damn. Post your OC results after you're done tweaking; it'll probably take awhile. I know the SR-2 well (Rev.1); mine is air-cooled, however, and under the cheapest hex-cores around (5645s). Congratulations on a system which will last for a long time, and you just made Aigomorla piddle.

Damn, That's a single loop!

Having a loop on each individual component would of been a better idea. But very nice build you got there 🙂

That would not really make a difference. Only maybe by a couple of degrees. Not worth it IMO.

I was going for the overall clean look. That makes it look messy. :\

Here are some more pics from earlier in the build.

As you can see I did go crazy on fittings... There are over $1K in fittings in the build 😱

As for the hard drive I may add a raid card and use 8-10 C300 64GB SSD's in raid 5. But if I do that I might have to make it my main rig...

Jesus Christ... Just... Damn.

I recommend LSI, with a pair of XClio backplanes and two Adaptec fanout cables with the sideband connectors.

You will have no more load times, ever, ever again.

When you're (close to) done, post some night-time shots of the system; if you have the spare cash, pick up the XFX-branded multi-monitor stand... It's one of the only things I've seen reviewed that can hold three 24"+ heavy IPS/PVA screens in portrait. I make do with a pair of Ergotron double mounts, which isn't nearly as classy. If you finish the stand/monitors/peripherals with red trim, I'll buy you a drink any day you're in San Francisco, which is known to have a few bars.

I have a few LSI cards to choose from on hand ATM. I think I am going to use the Megaraid SAS 9265-8i. I just have one sitting here :awe:

So many fittings... I am waiting on my copper waterblocks before I build into my SR-2 and I cannot imagine spending that much on them.

With that said, that is one fine looking build and will be a great addition to your collection of folders. Are you going to put some cores to the 590? I would like to see the differences between the options you have with it as I might have to change my build depending on what you find out.

No, I am not going to fold on the GPU. It takes away to much PPD from the SMP to make it worth it. :\
