Why are you incriminating yourself on here? Why don't you have a lawyer yet? A good lawyer could go a long, long way for you.

P.S. Get into rehab.

when i got the weed charge it took 8 months to go to court over it....

You get 24 hours to b!tch about it and feel sorry for yourself. Yeah it sucks, yeah the system sucks, yeah maybe you didnt deserve it. Whatever. It did happen and now you need to deal with it. It's time to get your arse moving and do some damage control. Get a lawyer right now. Get yourself into a rehab program. Attend regularly, do everything you're supposed to do, including regular drug testing to show your staying clean. If it does take months for this to go to court then that means you have months to be pro-active and get your shyt together. That will impress the courts and maybe the judge will think you are finally taking this seriously and it might defer your sentence. If you sit around and dont take any responsibility and do nothing about it, then you deserve no sympathy.

anyone who wants to say they hope i rot in jail...

think about the illegal mp3's you have on your machine...that's a federal offense...worse then what i did.
MP3s don't leave you stoned when your baby is crying because you haven't fed it all day.

my baby is fat and happy, and we live in a private gated community, i make enough money to support my family with no problem.
How much money will you be making while you stamp license plates? You are a bad father.

And you are a judgmental douche bag. Do you actually believe that doing weed/oxycodone will make someone forget about their baby?

Well Zane, I'd be careful how I worded my posting under my real name, thats for sure.

i got nothing to hide...they already busted me

OK, get this...you've not faced a judge yet and you have a prior conviction with a hanging probation. Your making contradictory statements about your bust in a public forum under your own name....ask your lawyer what he thinks and get back to me.....

I've been keeping up with this thread since it has started...

From what I've seen, it looks like the OP didn't really do anything too bad but at the same time isn't too bright in his reasoning. He keeps blaming his trouble on the system...well, the system isn't always fair, but it's always right. Zane, you knew what you were doing was illegal yet you did it anyway, outside your work in plain view nonetheless, so you have no right to be complaining about the system. All you can do from here on is to get yourself cleaned up and hope for a leniant sentence. Oh and btw, you commited a crime and you got caught, yes that makes you a criminal.

Any sympathy I have towards you is because I understand that addiction can be hard to face, but your decisions are your decisions, and in this case you were irresponsible and made the wrong decision. You are not only setting a bad example for your kid but you put what seemed like a good life on the line and you lost it.

Good luck to you and your family, clean yourself up and hopefully the sentence won't be as bad as it can be.

While I don't agree with the illegality of most drugs in our country, people like the OP that have kids and still behave like this can FOAD for all I care. Especially when you said "thought my wife might like them". If your wife is into drugs as well, I hope they take your kid and put him/her in a good home.

When you don't have any kids I could care less, do all the drugs you want. But when you become a parent and you have another life depending on you, you need to grow up.

Sorry, man that is messed up.

If the judge sentences you to a 12 step program tell him as politely as you can NO, I am not religious and I am not going to be proselytized into a belief in god as a requisite for breaking my addiction. I am absolutely interested in a secular program your honor, etc.

draconian drug laws like these just create criminals.

in many cases, people that use many drugs are not real criminals or a threat to society- they lead normal productive lives. you know how many successful people i know that smoke pot? that raised kids or have good jobs and do well? plenty.

yeah, throw them in jail, mess up a family, and create a criminal after a long incarceration.

****** brilliant!

Should the state remove children from families with alcoholic parents?

Or does "growing up" only apply to illegal drugs?

Sorry to hear that man, I hope you get off lightly. I'm lucky i've been in so little troble for my drug use over the years - only one possession arrest and no jail time.

You need a good lawyer...

My friend got caught with distribution...
His lawyer went to the judge and said "hey there phil, we still on for Friday at the golf course?"

Friend got out with probation.
He also got out of a bunch of other charges because he had the right lawyer.. DUI.. running from cops.. etc. I believe he got a couple more possession charges as well.

He served a month in jail max. After that he stopped everything.

You can sue the court for this btw. The government is illegally sanctioning religion by sentencing people to 12 stepping.

Do you think that an 8 month old should be in a home with an alcoholic mother and father?

Do you think that its a mature thing to do to put yourself in a situation that you know will get you put in jail when you have a family to support?
