What do you want to use it for? The Thinkpad Edge has a nice solid build and I speak from experience with their first generation Edge; the second is better which you are looking at. Depending on what you want to do it is a good system. Notebookreview.com has a Lenovo forum that has a E420 thread.

You can read up there but keep in mind 1) for many there if it isn't the vaunted T series it is nothing and b) there are some posters that are downright picky.
