My LCD display is working!

Its pretty neat.It runs off of the paralell port.Anyone know of some good software to run it.Id like it to display the local weather.Im using LCD Smartie right now.It can do alot,like system stats and CNN,Email,fan speed,system temps etc.I can also type anything I want to it to display.It scrolls flashes bla bla bla.
It was fun and easy to make,cost around $25 for all the parts.Hope you think I did a good job.

Could you perhaps set it up to display the baseball game of your choice a la the Yahoo box display? ie:

Line 1- Team 1 vs Team 2

Line 2- Game summary (score, inning, etc)

Line 3- Now batting + pitch count

Line 4- Play description + scoring

Don't know if you're a BB fan at all, but might be interesting....

Try LCDCenter if you haven't. Great program. I finally figured out how to make mine display Unreal and Counterstrike stats. Scrolling Winamp info and equalizers are cool as well. I use a Crystalfontz LCD mounted in a 5.25" drive bay BTW.

I made it! Like here:How toExcept mine is a backlit LCD and it has 4x20 lines instead of his non-backlit 2x20.

I ordered my stuff from here: eio.comhere is another example but this guy paid a bit for his premade SERIAL port LCD.I think it was like $65!

These are all serial port LCDs,so there a little more $,but there are better programs out to run them.Or more of them to choose from rather.Plus it frees up your printer port,just in case you dont have a USB printer.The serial ones just plug right up it seems,so there is no soldering or wiring,just plug it up to your serial port and load a progarm and your set.(I think?)
