Would be pretty dumb for Iran to eliminate one of their best hopes for undermining American power and authority and destroying it from within. I'm pretty sure the Trump years have offered hope (and more than a little excitement, and even, dare I say, entertainment, along the way) to those hostile to the US for any reason.

Iran has a lot of bark, but they know that they're in some deep shit economically and politically right now. A lot of their stunts are likely the result of trying to bleed off public discontent into the infinite ground of hate that is "the great satan". Throw in a couple "death to Americas" and you got yourself a stew going.

It was probably very cathartic to a lot of Americans to basically shit on Iran for the last 4 years (Iran's colossally inept blunder in response to the assassination of Sulemani being the cherry on top) but the smart (and difficult) play IMO is to prop up Iran vs the Israel/Saudi coalition.

Keep the mid-east in a sort of low intensity détente and slowly try to bring all parties together to a place where a peace agreement is a more preferable outcome for all parties than having the détente collapse (basically a microcosm of the NATO/Soviet cold war, but applying lessons learned).
