Nah - Blackjack has crappy odds if you dont count from the beginning of the shoe. I prefer Craps, myself
You are absolutly right!!
No card counting in BJ anymore to many cards.
As the origonal poster found out Money management is a must when gambling, any good book on gambling will tell you that. To cheap to buy a $10.00 book cost you a lot of money.

black jack is the only game where you have anywhere an even chance if your competent.

all other games favour the house so much its not funny.

games at indian casinos are unregulated and favour the house so much its not funny. skimming slot matchine payoffs(who the hell counts all those coins eh?), machines that almost never pay off etc. even blackjack is fuxored there.

never go to an indian casino.

It's not too late to borrow some more money and win your losses back.
Get back on that horse! when the going gets tough the tough get going.
If at first you fail try try again. Aight you get the idea, don't let the man beat you down!

Man what a tool, but im sure there's worse stories out there.

You're GREEDY and it got 10g from you...What the hell did you lose it on? Which casino(s)?

Funny stuff!

The next time you get an urge to blow $10,000 - I'd suggest looking into some "penny stocks". There are plenty of stocks in the market that sell for less than $1.00 a share. Find 2 that you think look promising (by which I mean, things you personally think will succeed) and put $5k into each of them.

If the company makes it, you could reasonably see a 10x return on your investment. If they don't, the money is gone but in theory you were basically supporting someone else's good idea.

If that doesn't appeal to you, you could actually daytrade pretty succesfully with $10,000. I was doing it at the market's worst and still managed to end up a thousand or two.

And of course, $10k would actually make a decent house downpayment or get you a pretty solid used car.

But if you had fun blowing the cash - then it was worth it!

What's with your "rich get richer" crap?

My family is rich because we WORK hard and INVEST our money into things that give a return, not gambling it like some friggin doofus.

Then again, you'll likely be stuck at your "waitor" job until you can learn how to spell it.

Key word is easily. Sometimes you can wake up in the middle of the night and the damn thing magically carries itself out the window!

I would have bought a new car. $100 max is the most I drop. But thanks for helping them keep their lights on for everyone else to enjoy.

You should have called it quits after winning the $2K, laughing at the casino. Don't keep continuing to play just because there's a few days left of your vacation.

I'm going on a skiing and gambling trip in May... I don't think I'll even have $200 to gamble with :)

But isn't it human nature to keep on gambling? We seem to be incredibly greedy.

Poor guy. Lose $50,000 and then brag but be sure to save a little money for your funeral.
