My laptop's miniplug (sound out) is busted

Hi guys, I'm new to the forum.

My miniplug sound jack on my laptop has become loose from inserting my headphone cords in too frequently. My warantee on my laptop expired last month so I can no longer get this fixed for free. I'm looking for a budget friendly solution to my audio woes on my laptop.

I have a usb port on my laptop as well as an spdif out. I don't have spdif speakers and also don't have the $ to spend on such an item (unless they can be found for under $50). I've heard of usb headphones that have built in sound cards in them (somewhat), but they are also quite pricey and of no use/interest to me since my laptop already has a sound card in it.

Maybe there is such a thing as a spdif -> 1/4 mini out connector? or perhaps a usb device that has a 1/4" out connector?

Thanks

Tom
