Ok so here's my setup
I have my synthesizer connected to my laptop using a 1/4 inch to 1/8 inch adapter and I'm trying to record using Cool Edit Pro 2.1 right. So I start recording and I finish my first recording, when I listen to my recording it starts just fine and dandy but after 3 seconds the sound drops heavily and becomes really distorted. So then I go to check the mic input level by holding a note on the synthesizer, at first the sound is fine but after 3 seconds the signal drops. Now I never had this problem when I used to record on my desktop, and then I realized that my laptop has one of those integrated web cameras and mic, could that be interfering with the usual mic input? Or is my 1/4 to 1/8 adapter just shitty?
