My Laptop CPU is hotter now when Outlook 2000 is open. Why?

I have a Dell Inspiron 8000 PIII 850 Mhz in a ARP (port). All of a sudden the fans are at 10K while the CPU is at 64 C.
When I close Outlook, the CPU temp drops to 50 and the fans slow down to 7,800 as designed.

CPU load is showing at 100% with only Outlook open.

I have windows 2000 Pro. Task manager shows winword.exe with 11,712 K mem usage. What is that? Only Outlook is open.

There are over 30 processes running.

MSCONFIG shows 8 start up files which is okay be me.

I had that happen too, LSASS.exe was using most of the cycles... Coudn't find anything definitive on Google..

When I close Outlook, my CPU usage drops to 10%.

What is causing Outlook to run the CPU at 100%?

All your cycles get used up by the backdoor program the NSA has into your laptop.

Well, yes, I know about the NSA...they like to listen on foreign telecommunications. I find it hard that they would want to zero in on my e-mail but if they want to take a look, that's find but I doubt it. That is why I said "Science".

Why is my CPU on steriods when Outlook is running?!?!?
