My Klipsch Promedia 4.1 Sub. Died

I can't believe it, today I was watching a news clip and all a sudden, my subwoofer started making a very loud "hissing" noise. I clicked the "power" button so it was red but it still kept making the noise. I then turned the computer off and it was continuing. I had to unplug the unit and give Klipsch a desperate phone call. They said I have to RMA the sub. but I am really unhappy. I hope this is an isolated incident which is not common since this would be horrible if it happened outside of the warranty.

By the way, I have had this for about 6 months now and have never put it near full volume. At the most I have listened to it about half-way volume for short "demonstrations". Any comments would be very, very much appreciated.

I had a sub that was DOA when I got the v2.400's a long time ago. The customer service was excellent, very easy to deal with.

The new sub hasnt had any problems. We also have 3 sets of the 2.1's in the house, with no problems at all.

Ya, Klipsch tech support was great, I stated my problem and they said wait a second and I could talk to a real tech person. Then they transfered me to the customer service dept. and I am taken care of. I will ship the sub this Friday so hopefully I will get a replacment in a few weeks. I am also glad to hear this is an isolated incidient.
