My Keyboard sucks. Recommend me a new one.

I use this keyboard at home:

Notice how the buttons are so close to each other and there is no "depth" on the keys? This has created a really bad typing experience for me and I don't type accurately at all.

What I want is a keyboard with keys that have more depth like this:

Some requirements:
-Must have palm rest
-Must have buttons like volume, mute, and calculator
-Must have the | button above the enter key
-Must not make a lot of noise

The picture you posted is larger than my real life keyboard.

If sound is your main consideration then try out membrane keyboards at stores until you find one you like. If you can tolerate a bit of sound I would recommend looking at mechanical keyboards which will have good spacing and a light action on the keys.

Lenovo have a pretty wide range of slightly old school keyboards. Microsoft used to too.

I actually use an Apple keyboard on my PC - it is superb. I just have to put up with a few mislabelled buttons, but it's worth it!

For me, there is nothing like Cherry KBs. Made in Germany. they have membranes and they keys are laser imprinted, amazing engineering even for the low end ones, and they last forever and can be cleaned (tho that takes time).

You can get some new for no money on eBay! That is where I got mine. When it arrived and I saw its reality, I ran right back and got the other one the vendor had.

(I see this is an old thread, but only now saw it.)
