According to the foot specialists at the hospital, NIkes are the worst shoes to get in terms of foot stability. They like New Balance and Asics. I got an engineering prototype pair of shoes from Asics, theyre the most ridiculously comfortable shoes ive ever worn.

Oh so true.. I agree.

In general, I find that skateboarding shoes are GREAT shoes. They're pretty comfy and last for a long time since they're built like tanks. If you shop around, you can pick up a nice pair for 30 bucks :)

for playing basketball??

To tell you the truth, despite what people are saying in this thread, Nike will probably take them back and give you store credit to a Niketown store.

I've returned more than one pair of shoes directly to Nike because the shoes sucked.

Negative. Kswiss was around before there were metros. Plus they now make some decent running shoes. I'm going to be checking them out before I buy another pair of New Balance shoes.

Umm, maybe I'm missing something but right about what you quoted it says "The following WILL NOT be accepted." I think what it says is that it will be returned back to you.

Wow, you seriously must be pretty stupid.

The following WILL NOT be accepted:

* Footwear older than 2 years from the original date of manufacture. Any footwear returns exceeding the 2 year date of manufacture limit will be returned without inspection. The manufacturing date can be found on the tag inside the shoe. If your shoe has the old tag, the first two numbers in the manufacturing date represent the year, the middle two numbers represent the month and the last two numbers represent the day. If you have the new tag, the manufacturing date is above the bar code and to the left.

* Products evidencing excessive wear, misuse or alteration.
* Size, fit, and style selection complaints.
* Salesman samples or Promotional products.
* Returns from consumers residing outside the U.S.

Doesn't a "couple" by definition mean two?

Yes.

If anything it could be confused for more than two. .But never LESS.

You would never use "couple" when referring to "1 year ago"

Of course, you ignored these:

# No refunds. All refunds must be obtained through the original place of purchase only.
# No exchanges due to size, fit, or style selection problems.

And the thought that you'd try and return 2 year old sneakers makes you the prick. Suck it up as a bad buying decision. If you were going to return them, you should have done it two years ago.

Next time go New Balance. It's the brand many pro players prefer and even turn down endorsement deals so they can wear them. It's the reason the companies slogan is "Endorsed by No One", but worn by everyone.

The custom fit- width (e, ee, eee, eeee), length, and Toe Box (SL1/SL2), should provide help your feet feel better and prevent your foot from sliding around inside of the shoe. It's the next best thing to having a cobbler make a pair for you.
