When I woke up, I noticed that my computer was acting funny. After I rebooted, nothing came up - blank screen. I cleared the CMOS and nothing. Then it all made sense: the slow spinning fan on the northbridge, hard drive corruption and bad file systems, the weird unexplainable crashes and wierd behavior. All of this has been happening the past two weeks. I had this board running anywhere from 167 MHz to 183 MHz and the ventilation in my case sucks. It appears that the heat finally took it away during the night. :(

I think I am going to get a 1.6A NW this time. I am sick and tired of the noise this computer produced with the cooling. I'm tired of the heat too. Now if I could only grow some cojones and ask my wife if I can order the parts. :( :D

Sorta had the same problem, keep trying..if you can eventually get it to boot like I did(may take a while) reflash to the newest bios(4/11) using the /py switch and that should fix it.

It's worth it..this board rocks

I am a part of the P4 club now. I got a 1.6A and an MSI 845 Ultra ARU motherboard. It's up and running (cool and quiet) at 2.133 GHz at default voltage. My wife owns me now though. :)
