Got the MB & power supply today, HD yesterday.
So far, I've cut the baseplate for the case from a piece of 1/8" Al, and cleaned up the edges & corners. Next step ... marking & drilling holes to mount the MB

I have no idea if I can get that LCD to work ... picked it up at a flea market cheap. It's kind of small also.

Ok, finally got some more done on this...

Picked up some more pieces

- 4x20 LCD from Crystalfontz
- Internal USB lead
- converter to convert Via Epia mini USB header-> standard internal USB header (should have gotten this with the MB)
- Very short IDE cable from local shop's dollar-box
- LEDs for power & drive activity from local electronics surplus place (OEM for anybody in Colorado Springs)
- Some small mirco-switches from OEM
- A USB sidewinder gamepad that I hope to tear apart to interface the bottons to the system. Clearence @ radioshack

I found some Padauk out in the garage that a friend gave me when he moved overseas ... should look really sharp. It looks kind of red in the pictures because I just cut & planed it. It turns a nice chestnut brown after a few days in the sun.

So I've drilled the mounting holes for the MB, and cut the sides to size. Next will be mounting the MB, and cutting out various bits of the sides. The box sides may get a bit shorter also, depending how things fit vertically.

More pics at the above link.
