7kbps down, 159kbps up :(

motherfvckers, I cannot believe I'm paying $40/mo for this. Unfortunately, my apartment complex signed a contract with this mothefvckers that forces me to use them :( :|

Taken directly from their website:

Each NTC property has a high-speed broadband connection distributed by Ethernet switches to each customer's bedroom. In most locations, NTC also has a direct fiber-optic, ATM or T-1 connection to the local University's network. NTC customers receive the same benefits of on-campus services in the comfort of their own off-campus apartment. NTC's network does not require the student to use an unreliable dial-up phone/modem connection. We provide a permanent connection allowing you to be on-line all the time, thus freeing up your phone line. With our Network connection you receive all the necessary support to get online as quickly and easily as possible, including a help desk for trouble-shooting Ethernet card installations and other customer support services.

This is broadband? yeah right, it's broadband my ass you ball joggling asswipes. I sent an email on last friday and still no response. Everytime I call them, I get this dumbass robotic motherfvcker telling me that P2P are the evil!!!! OMG OMG OMG. Grrr... just had to rant. Sorry.

I would vow to use every single kbps up uploading worthless crap to whomever just to use up their bandwidth until they give you some more downspeed!

If it's not in your lease how are they forcing you to use the service? I'd definitely get a different service provider, that's just piss poor for $40 a month.

I can't and that's the problem. Adelphia nor Comcast cannot provide service due to these motherfvckers' deal with my apartment complex.

Maybe they didn't get your e-mail because your internet is so damn slow. :p Didn't mean to rub it in.

do you have it? how do you like it?

$30 a month and i got the free wireless linksys router.

so far i like it. 1.5D/384U i believe. haven't tested the upload but it's definitely 1.5mb DL for sure (180kb/s), since i have that kind of speed whenever i torrent or DL something large

as for reliability it's ok. 2 times of downage over the past 3 and 1/2 months that i've had it, and both times were severe tunder storms, when even the t-mobile tower was down.

i live in NYC

in conclusion, it is well worth the $30 a month, plus some crappy fees that is like $2 and some tax, it's closer to $35 or so.

Find the point of origin and start cutting all the connections save for yours.
