Well, My iPod nano went on a little trip today... Through both the washer and dryer. Normally I'd wait and let it dry, but there wasn't any liquid under the screen, so I figured what the heck I'll plug it in. It turned right on and works perfectly, I'm quite amazed. I know on arstechnica they tried it and theirs still worked, but that doesn't mean I'm not surprised. It's a 1st gen 2gb... I hear the 2nd gens can't take nearly the beating. (Compared to the first)

Thank goodness though, I really didn't want to purchase another. For what I use it for, 2gb is perfect.

Nice...glad to know it can live through the washer...wish my cell phone could have taken a beating like that.

QFT. My first-gen Mini has taken a ridiculous amount of abuse and it's still working.
