I can use my right thumb just fine, but with my left at the same angle on the same part of the screen with no other fingers in the way, it doesn't work.

Was my hand cut off and replaced with a cybernetic implant? How is this even possible?

Apple of yesterday = Think Different

Apple of today = assimilate

No lefties aloud. Southpaw's are different, can't be having that.

I have the same issue on my S4. My left thumb is mostly scar tissue where I sawed the side of it off years back.

My 5s had stopped reading one of my fingers consistently and it got worse over time. Deleted that one and re-learned it. Worked fine after that and never happened again.

When you go to delete the fingerprint data for that finger, you can tell which entry corresponds to that finger by touching the sensor with each finger to see which entries get highlighted. You should then add a descriptive label to each one ("right thumb," "left pointer," etc.).

Mine doesn't work well upside down, either - like if you hand it to someone sitting across from you, and then lean over to push a button or swipe a picture or whatever. It seems pretty angle-sensitive.

I have this problem with mine too.. i dont know if its the angle of my thumb hitting the screen.. left them has hard time sliding even though i'm fully touching the screen.. annoying..

right thumb on the same spot works..

This was happening in a single app on Saturday with my new iP6. It went away after a restart.
