I guess in a couple of years, though, if my rechargeable battery dies on my 360 controller and my battery dies on my PS3 controller, I'll be much less concerned about spending $12 on a new 360 Microsoft-branded battery than spending $50 on a whole new PS3 controller.
Don't you just return it to Sony or something like that?
negative on both counts, you can open the controller and remove the battery yourself. there are instructions in the manual for this.
