My inbox is....

All my email accounts are nice and neat. I dislike having old emails and junk in there.

I have a folder where I save any emails I want or emails I think will be useful.

I've seen some inboxes that are just FULL of EVERY EMAIL EVER SENT TO THEM. 😛

i keep it all until i get auto-reminders about remaining space... then i archive the oldest week and empty the trash.

I used to clean my inbox. Now there's like 5,000 emails in there. I don't really care, I just use search and labels to find anything I need.

Work, I keep everything.

Personal, I delete spam/junk/etc. I keep anything that I consider important.

Edit: Timewarped like 6 posts.

semi-meticulous.

i cringe when i see a friend or coworkers inbox with 2000 mails and 250 inreads. yo, classify and file yo shit!

I keep the unreads to zero but my inbox is pretty packed. Too hard to categorize and archive everything. I do the best I can w/ autolabeling and rely on gmail's search feature for the rest of my retrieval needs.

All the read emails just looks like white noise after awhile and only the unreads stand out. So as long as I'm on top of those, I'm not really concerned

On all of my mailboxes (work and personal) I have a folder called "keep". when I'm done with an email I put it in there. In the case of Outlook/exchange I eventually have to make an archive. In the case of a mbox or maildir then I just let it grow as it wont kill performance. But I pretty much keep all my email unless it's silly stuff like notices or stuff sent to all employees. My inbox is only new emails or emails I need to refer back to in the same day. Anything that I have to keep longer I put it in the in progress folder or even keep a copy on my desktop then put it in keep.

same here, my home email barely has 1 page of emails. i do have separate folders for specific things like funny crap people send me, bills and such. at work, i have archive folders by year for the last decade as well as current folders for all my jobs current, as well as sales folders for each vendor and tech folders for each supplier/ vendor. my inbox is usually kept up, but i do have 1.5 yrs of email in it currently.

At work we've been using the symantec enterprise vault, so I haven't put anything in a PST for a year now. It's awesome.

I just use a search to find what I need. Maybe I should organize mine though...
I have 11,035 messages in my inbox, only 3,029 in sent though 😉

poor poor IT🙁

Ma e-mail box is one big libary for me to looks at.

I have a few accounts and a main one. The others get the spam, which I voluntarilly signed up for (coupons/discounts). My main one is littered with spam, which gets annoying because I get my hopes up when it says I have 5 new messages today...
