I'm in the market for a new 19" CRT monitor since my old and trusty IIyama Vision Master PRO 450 19" is partially defective and may fail every moment.

Requirements:

- Totally flat screen
- Dual input (Have two computers but only 1 monitor)
- At least 1600 x 1200 @ 85Hz
- Dedicated button to switch between the two inputs (Don't have that on my IIyama and it's making me crazy since I need to go through several menus to find the choice to switch to the other input).

Brands that is availible here in Norway:

Moderate priced brands here:
Hyundai (Are these good? They are pretty cheap and have good specs:
I'm looking at this one) Anybody know who the manufacturer of the tube is?
Hansol

Medium priced:
LG (I'm looking into the 915FT Plus, but is this one really flat? anyone that have it and have anything to say about it? it did not do to well in the last toms hardware test)
Samsung
NEC
Hitachi (Actually bought their newest 21" CM-823F, but it sucked so I returned it and got my money back) Hitachi is no option for me.

Damn expensive:
Eizo
Sony
Viewsonic

Any recommandations among these?

I would have gotten the newest Iiyama monitor but to bad, they are not sold here anymore. :(

For your requirements, I know of two that will match you perfectly. The Sony G-420S or the Samsung 900NF. Both are about $400 shipped. I lean more toward the Samsung myself, though.

Already looking into the sony but it is DAMN expensive here in Norway (We are talking about ~650$ USD + shipping).

That samsung uses a mitsubishi diamondtron tube, right? Will look into it then since this one "only" costs ~530$ USD + shipping ;)

Even the LG costs ~470$ USD + shipping

The "cheap" Hyundai costs ~350$ USD + shipping

Yes, the Samsung uses a mitsubishi tube. The 900NF is probably the most popular monitor on these forums. It will come highly recommended from many members.

I looked for the Samsung 900NF but could only find the 959NF and only the version without the extra BNC connector :(

Any more recommandations? Or maybe I shoud get the crazy sized samsung 1200NF for $800 + shipping, compared to most other 21" and 22" monitors it's not that bad. :D

What's up with my Iiyama? Suddenly the picture dissapears and the screen is black for a while and than the picture comes back again with a funny bzzzt sound. Seems to happen more often if the temperature in the room is high.....

Any more comments?

Last time I went monitor shopping, I found the Monitor reviews at Cadalyst.com (the Autocad product and review site) to be useful in getting a sense of the quality of high-end monitors. 'Can't hurt to have a look:

Cadalyst Labs review some BIG monitors

As for my own gut inclinations, I'm a big fan of the NEC-Mitsu monitors at the moment.

Already read their reviews ;)

Is it possible to use both(the DVI-I and D-SUB) intakes on a TFT LCD monitor and switch between them?

And do somebody have a good TFT LCD monitor to recommend?

Right now I'm also looking into the Samsung 171P TFT LCD monitor as well, specs:

Response Time: < 25 ms
HiContrast(Contrast Ratio): 500 : 1
HiLight(Brightness): 250 cd/m²

I've still to find a 17" LCD monitor with better specs than this. I know that specs is not everything, but what is your thoughts?
