ok, so it's only a 14.1" screen, ok it's only a 1.7 ghz centrino, ok it's only an ati mobility 9600 with 64 mb ram.

but the whole package is SWEET. and the build quality is amazing.

ya, it's the BOMB.

Those are nice laptops, Im onsite at a company with only T41's and T42's, changing parts is pretty simple.

i'll probably sell one of my desktop systems, get a docking station and make this my primary pc.

btw, the centrino 1.7 is pretty fast all things considered right?

I am a thinkpad technician. The build quality on the T4x series is great! Best of luck with it.

BTW, I have the same model as you, except I have a 1.6 centrino, instead of a 1.7.

Maybe this can be for some of the Thinkpad gurus ... I have T41 and I have this problem where sometimes the sound doesn't work but comes back up after a reboot?

For instance, I startup my T41 in the morning, put it sleep in the middle of the day, when it comes back up from sleep, the mp3s play but there are no sounds. I need to reboot and the sound comes back.

I've tried uninstalling and re-instsalling when I get this problem, but it install.

Drivers are up to date. Any suggestions?
