Sorry, not sure i understand the question?

I used SKY OC (a BCLK OC) to overclock the locked processor.
Sky OC was supposed to turn off hyperthreading,is HT still working when you OC your i3? If so please tell us/me the mobo and bios version.

Hopefully this is just some incorrect reporting with KL and the monitoring software.

As far as I am aware, HT wasn't affected by SKY OC, but AVX/AVX2 ran at half speed, and you couldn't use the iGPU.

As far as BCLK OCing a KBL Pentium with HT, I doubt it. You need the newest BIOS to run KBL, but the newer BIOSes kill off the SKY OC. (So I've heard.)

Maybe it's just a case of adding cpu id's to the old bios'es's
(one can dream right? )

Considering the 5GHz 6700K hype that did not pan out (majority of samples, including mine, cannot break 4.6GHz fully stable) I will wait for a larger sample size of 7700K overclocks + Zen 8C/16T performance before considering my next CPU upgrade.

As of 10/11/16, the top 95% of tested 6700Ks were able to hit 4.6GHz or greater.

From personal experience with several 6700Ks bought at different points in the cycle, 4.6GHz is doable. It's 4.7GHz+ that's tricky.

The offset seems to be helping - IBT pass (and i'm still on air, but this is the first sign of stability which is encouraging):

Also the voltage seems to be reported correctly in HWinfo when using voltage offsets - perhaps the temps are accurate.

In sticking with my quick and dirty theme, resting one of the ML140s on the tower while doing testing (using a different case for the AIO):

So you think 50c with a 5.0Ghz overclock is a high temp?? Heck I would be more then happy with those temps.Specially with air cooling cause upgrading to water the temp will only get better!! Could you try lowering the volts with the 5.0Ghz overclock? I would like to see what is needed for a stable overclock for running 24/7.

Edit..
Just seen your new post, those temps gotta be wrong. There is no way your hitting 89c without melting something. Also your volts are showing 1.36 volts I thought you were running it at 1.40v??

Not to be greedy or anything but could you check on the igpu,I know it's low priority for most people but it would be interesting to know if there is a change in EU numbers/clocks or if the en/decoding is hybrid or actually almost no cpu cost.

It hit maximums of 89 degrees during IBT - this wasn't sustained, but was in the 80s.

RE: voltage - Don't forget i'm using offsets and speedstep is enabled.

I am now getting IBT passes at 5Ghz @ 1.34v. I'll be getting on to prime 95 stress testing once the AIO is installed. I wouldn't be surprised if i had to get closer to 1.4v for prime 95 stability - we'll see.

EDIT: I think the motherboard incorrectly reports the CPU temp in the BIOS - my confidence in the accuracy of HWInfo's stats is growing, but still need check other temp tools.

Where would I find this detail?

Gpu-z shows info for intel hd,shaders clocks bandwith and so on.

Do you mean has overclocking disabled some EUs? He has a K chip, nothing gets disabled when you overclock.

Or are you talking about his i3?

Is the HD 630 running with 1.15 Ghz if used like HD 530 @6700k? I think you can check in the Bios.

No more like what mikk says,if it has more eu/shaders then sky or if they have higher clocks and stuff like that.

Gpuz just shows my 1060, the drop down doesn't allow me to see the igpu, probably because it's not in use.

I'll check the bios later - I've never taken notice of the igpu as I don't use it.

There is no difference in shader count, it is exactly the same as Skylake. The only difference is in the fixed function and display unit. GPU clock is unknown, I would guess it is unchanged as well.

Notebook Check found HD620 to be 20-30% better than HD520 at the same shader count and clocks.
