No... she said she told him not to get her anything... then he surprises her with it... thats what i mean. and i think its better for a person to be surprised of a gift than to expect it.
The wind is about 50 miles an hour and freezing sleet/rain are pouring down. He gets the props for going out in this weather,he cerayinly didn't have to.
Maybe my limited experience with women is reason enough for me to be confused, but when a woman says not to get her anything, doesn't the husband always do the exact opposite?

Aye, and it's the thought that counts. Some people wouldn't bother to do anything. All I was commenting on is it wasn't anything amazing. Perhaps the reason I'm so bitter is because Valentines day seems over-done. Maybe if he had done this on a regular day, I would give him more kudos.
