Thats another problem with women though. Even feminists I know like the song. I once asked one of them if they even pay attention to lyrics and their like "no i just like to dance to it." This is the same chick that gets all pissy when a commerical is doing the same thing.

I've realized that a lot of women have very poor taste in music because all they care about is if they can dance to it. And sometimes, not just dance but dance like a slvt to it.

Well I think that club dancing is a 'safe' outlet for sexual expression, especially for girls. And it doesn't surprise me that music that specifically caters to that expression tends to be popular in dance clubs.

That said, my gf quotes or sings that song incessantly and it bugs all hell from me.

The orginal song exemplifies all that is wrong with American women today; their materialism has reached an unfortunate all-time-high.

Most American women think they were born with The Golden Puzzy, and they act in concert w/this thought. "OH, you want me to KISS YOU? Buy me this diamond encrusted watch first!"

Puhleese, woman; if I had a choice b/t you and "all that and a bag of chips" I'd take the bag of chips FTW and the bus home.

They don't cook. They don't clean. They lie, cheat and essentially make you regret ever meeting them.

Oh yeah; and most of them are divorced and have a kid. Damaged goods, FTL.

Wow!! A used 1992 Hyundai Excel with 232,346 miles on it for ONLY $10K? Sign me up!

Not that you're bitter about it or anything.

You just have to start looking for stuff other than physical attractiveness.

I found both. My fiancee has it all and NO PREVIOUS KIDS too boot.

I'm American (born here) <--just so everyone knows

In my experience, the physical aspect has NOTHING TO DO with the attitude. Even the "not so blessed with delicate features" women think their turds don't stink and their love tunnel would fetch a king's ransom on EBay. It perplexes me to no end.

That's why, about 5 years ago, I was convinced (and happy) that I'd never marry. I was totally unwilling to put up with/tolerate the BS, attitude and mindset of any American woman in the age group 25-35.

Then I met Jane*. (*Not her real name. Maybe it is. You don't know. Bite me.) Changed my entire outlook on things.

I'm so glad I stumbled up this oasis in the desert. I will never go back.

Reminds me of Ben Folds doing the cover of Dr. Dre's "Bitches ain't Sh!t". Solid Gold.

Seems Alanis touched a nerve.

I think Alanis is on his side...

One more comment: Such a spoof of mainstream music is the sort of thing I might have expected Black Eyed Peas themselves to do 6 years ago...ah, how times and people change :)

never expected alanis to do a cover like this although its pretty good. Only the part where the music starts getting a little upbeat does the song come through.

Yeah, but Alanis can actually sing. :D

Also, there a decent "ironic" joke in here somewhere, but I don't have the energy to mine for it.

Funny stuff, I enjoyed her destroying the pillow during the "you don't want no drama" part.

P.S. I think Alanis is beautiful, mostly because she seems to have a sense of humor and doesn't take her self too seriously.

Ah, but you're wrong.

Fergie is the newest member of the group, having replaced a less-camera-friendly, black woman with a huge afro...

[Edit] Well, the afro is no longer there (or I have selective memory ), but the less-camera-friendly part is true - Text

BEP used to be so interesting and talented. I hate throwing around the term "sell out" - everyone needs to make money. But they used to write songs AGAINST sexism and materialism, instead they're making songs embracing it. Sell outs..

DUDE! I loved Nelly Furtado, HELLO NELLY! Is a wonderful album, but look at her now.. It's sad, very sad.. She's just a generic bimbo now.

To give credit where credit is due, Ms. Morisette never became a whore to sell records, unlike even Sheryl Crow..

Gwen Stefani sold out big time too. She at least made decent music with No Doubt, not that I was a fan or anything. Now she makes god awful like that yodeling song.

Even alot of the old "gangster" rappers sold out, like Snoop dog and Ice Cube. Everyone is making music that is club friendly. WTF.
