My computer is an old poor PII 400, HP 6470Z, With 440ZX chip set.
Recently it has big problem with the IDE channels.
Frequently it can not detect the second IDE channel at all, even the first one!
Even If I successfully boot up with BOTH IDE channels (4 devices) recognized, soon the computer will freeze and pop up a window says:
unsafe unplug device... then my 2 CD-ROMs are gone (2nd IDE) :|
Does anyone have same problem? I guess it is the motherboard. If anyone can help me make sure, I am gonna kick out 20 bucks for a new board maybe.
