My house is being totally remodelled

Would you do it if you were me? Has anyone done both at the same time?
Or is wireless the way of the future for internet?

How many floors? If it's a ranch, definitely. To what extent is your house being remodeled?

I'd just run ethernet myself in either case.

I'd run both cable and ethernet. Makes everything more future-proof, plus you don't have to go from the outside-in if you want to install later.

I deffenently would, but make sure you put the jacks where they make most sense. It's a royal pain to have to move them if later you decide you want either in a different location.

I ran Cat5e. It can be either crimped for phone, which it is now, or ethernet.

Also run 2 RG6 lines. 1 for cable/fios and 1 for over the air digital.

If ranch, you can always add it later on your own. of course, if there are finished areas in the basement of a ranch, you can't easily add later so you should do what you want to do now.

If a colonial or other two floor style home, atleast run both cable styles to the attic. From the attic, getting into any second floor wall is easy.

Remember, it is easier to do this now than later and how much is it actually going to add to the overall cost? Probably not much in hte grand scheme of things.

Do it now.

Do it yourself.

Run Cat5e (or Cat6 if you have the money for it, but to you have to look at the specs like bend radius and keep that in mind to make sure it meets Cat6 spec), and RG6 to each room. Even if you move the room around and have outlets on a different wall then where the end devices are it's much easier to run a short cable in the room.

2 Coax (RG6) Lines and 2 Cat5e Lines to every room in the house. Cable/Off-Air or Satellite DVR. Phone and Ethernet.

Everything home run to the electrical panel😀
