My hot tub company changed their warranty!

OutHouse

Lifer
I called my hot tub company to come out and fix my tub. the second pump comes on and off by its self and there is no response on the keypad to turn it on or off.

My warranty is good for 5 years for onsite service, says so on the document. I just talked to the service manager and he said the part is covered but for them to come out would cost me $35.00 :|

the reason for the charge is truck maint...

that is their problem not mine!!!

Bitch and moan, you'll probably get your way.... that sucks though.

Does the document say anything about policys may change without notice? If not, sue them for 35$ and waste their time.. lol

Unless there's some lame clause, I'd say you're in the right. The warrentee you paid for (even if it's part of the purchase price of the hot tub) should cover thier costs. If they didn't plan ahead, it's thier fault.

nope.

ill pay it, but this crap is just bad customer service, especially for a high ticket item.

Refuse to pay it b/c you bought the agreement. It's not the $35 it's the principle. They think they can screw with people....TheNinja demands retribution!!!

Slash their truck tires with your middle toenail!

Under the UCC (uniform commercial code) they cant modify the warranty unless you sign off on it. (I think, you might have to check).

Insist that they fix it without the $35 charge. Let them know that you'll be happy to call your state's attorney general's office if they don't.

if you have it on paper that it's covered, contact your state attorney general. it's amazing what companies will do with a single letter with a cc to your states attorney general.

might not help this time, but for future repairs could come in ahandy....

Na, we all just get in naked. its the only time he bathes... 🙂

use part of your tax break to cover the $35, i mean why should the small business owner of the hot tub company have to pay $35 from their hard earned tax break
