My hollywood plus hates me...are there any free software DVD players?

I don't have a software DVD player anymore, and my Hollywood plus refuses to work....

Are there any free software players? It doesn't even have to be good
it has to play 2 channel audio and display a picture.

I just wanted to watch a DVD tonight and I'm to lazy to try and fix my H+.

There aren't any free ones (legally at least) because there are too many licensing fees involved to release a free one.

I think that the DVD software companies have to pay a royalty to the DVD organization, so it wouldn't make sense for anyone to make a free one - that would be like paying many for people to use your software!

Mwave has PowerDVD 3.0 for $5. Shipping costs more than the software though.

I believe WinME does come with one, it just may need a demo of PowerDVD or WinDVD to be installed to work.

Last time I checked WinME did not come with one.

you can search ur windows cd for dvdplay.exe 🙂 never used it though...
