Shoudl I return it to herc? (there support sucks) Shoud I return it to the retailer? (across the country)

Heres what I posted at the Herc Forusm.
I just boot up my computer one day, and I'm thinking, why are the back speaker so prominent? So I check my surround Knob on my Speakers, The back speakers stay loud. Hmm, wheres my front sound, so I check every connection, nothing. I check all settings, nothing. I plug back speakers into front socket, and bam, the back speakers don't work now, the front ones do. Strange, must be the socket. I check socket, nothing in there, get vacuum cleaner to suck anything out, blow into it. Nothing. Remove card, put in diff pci slot. Nothing. I am stumped, should I do nothing short of sending the card to herc?

well if you didn't do anything accidentily OR purposely to screw them up, and its under warranty, then by all means RMA it and get your money back or at least a replacement 😀

Take it out, and throw it in the nearest trash can. The MuseXL can be had for ~$12...is it really worth an RMA process including shipping costs, downtime, etc for a $12 soundcard? Look into a nice, robust, and cheap soundcard like the 4 - channel Philips Rythmic Edge II...it's only $29 shipped @ Newegg. That card uses the same Thunderbird Avenger as the 6 channel Acoustic Edge. Just my take...🙂

I'm definite its not a balance/fade issue. Thanks for the opinions on a new card, but I like this card, and will check out how much it costs to RMA. Btw, I am in Australia, so it might be even more expensive. Just out of interest, what is a good card for under $50US.
