My headlights dim when my subwoofer hits hard or I use electric windows!

Maybe, but he said he was having problems before installing the amp. Just a week or so ago my car was starting very weakly and the lights would dim when the (electric) radiator fans came on. Had the battery and alternator tested, and my battery had a bad cell. New battery completely fixed it.

Wow, that's quite the problem. The others are totally wrong, what you need to do is 1) Replace the kanutant valve in the scrotoscropic anominizer 2) Change the fluid in your headlights AND your blinkers. That should fix this right up.

Yep... that's the problem... cranking amps refers to how much a battery can provide at any time.

My 94 camry does the same thing on windows... I think its just a weak toyota electrical system. Mine I'm pretty sure has done it since new...
No problems with battery or alternator as both have been replaced over life of car...

Slight dimming is normal. Poor grounding can can cause lights to dim under load as battery can't support the alternator the alternator when it isn't producing a whole lot of output at idle.

With a digital multimeter, measure the voltage between battery "-" terminal and engine block. It shouldn't be more than 5/100th of a volt. Anything higher indicates corroded or loose ground connections.

some cars just have weak alternators. i have a friend with an early 90's VW cabrio (yes, she's a girl, it's ok), and that car can only raise or lower one window at a time.
