Welcome to the ban club I was banned with only 3 posts still don't know what I did to get a ban back in 2004 or 5. Fuck it Kyle is a major douchebag that could not even hold up Anand Lal Shimpi jock strap.

I know, we sent emails back and forth and he sent pms to the people I was ACTUALLY trading with over there and gave them my email and explained the situation to them.

Great guy! Helped me tons!

I have been a member since 2000.

My complaints are.

The place is rife with and is very attractive to fanboys and idiots.
The owners post stories to rile up the fanboys (their [h]ardest core audience).

Anyway, I have made a new years resolution to stay away from there. Blocked it at my router so there is no cheating. Even though I complain, I have a guilty pleasure reading idiot after idiot.

I use fsft over there and occasionally comment on news posts.

I was banned once about 12 years ago but kyle couldn't tell me why so I figured it was an invite to create a new account.

Yeah, I can see the merit in the ban, when looking at it from afar.

But over here, I would think that would simply be some demerit points on your record, as opposed to an instant ban. Which is how that kind of situation SHOULD be - it's easily remedied with a strong warning/"write up" - if they repeat the mistake, fine ban then. But it's not such a gross violation of the rules as to warrant an outright ban without a little empathy.

Ya know I think you were banned for "thread crapping" (it's just trolling was much easier to type I guess and it's the only real offense you broke in the fs/t rules) sames you pretty just came into that thread and shit all over one of the users opinions and offered very little to the thread. In fact that whole thread seemed like it was posted in the wrong forum over there anyway...

In any case, I'm not going to pick sides here but I don't believe you deserved to be banned for what you did, perhaps a simple warning with explanation (with deletion of offending post) would have sufficed but I've seem several threads now about [H] banning users for the littlest things so I've gathered they have itchy trigger fingers to lay out the ban hammer.

On top of that, you're on one the competitors sites talking shit about them when you haven't even contacted the mod that banned you to see if you could be unbanned, which could have had a slim chance of being reversed, now you have a snowball's chance in hell of that happening...

And while we are at it, another site I stopped posting at years ago was Daily Tech. That place is full of the same kind of idiots as you find over on the hardforums.

I am sure a few of them are also at AT but the level of discussion here is a few IQ points higher on average.

I was banned from there after a few months as well...

Long story short, I was trying to post a comment on a HotDeal (pretty much the only subforum I ever check there) and I had a question, so I PM'd a mod. Mod said they didn't know, but to PM Kyle. I did that, and Kyle was mega rude and dickly in his PM back to me so I said "No need to be an ass, was just asking a question" and I got ban-hammered by him.

Cool story, right?

Don't miss em.

I sent an email to Kyle and the site email and got no response days later, so I dont think thats happening

[H] is the biggest joke ever. I was banned for "trolling". I was in the middle of a trade, and they ban me for trolling, when, I did NOT troll. So now, I have to send them an email asking to lift the ban so I can complete my trades or contact the other trader to get an email.

So now, I'm going to get bad rep and 80000000 pms asking why I didnt respond to them, and I'm still screwed because I'm not going to get my 3870, or 4870.

Kyle (owner over there) is a total idot.

Now I have to build my rep here to use the B/S/T, because the fact that I have perfect heat, and a great rep on [H]Forum dosent matter.

Yeah Kyle is an idiot, I actually dislike the majority of the users on [H], they remind me of the people I was raised with in Wyoming - anti-gov't, anti-gay, pro-gun, pro-tea party.... yikes

Just wanted to let you know your friend PM'ed me on [H] so I know the situation now :D
