My Guess is...The Motherboard Died

It all began when I thought that my wireless keyboard/mouse combination was acting up. I was sitting there at the computer surfing the internet, minding my own business, and all of a sudden I get that "Deviced Disconnected" sound and the little pop-up dialog box in the corner, followed by my keyboard and mouse not working. So I shut down....plug it back in...and it works...

A little while later, this happens again, and I can't get the wireless keyboard/mouse to work at all. So I dig around and find an old ps/2 keyboard/mouse and hook that up. Everything is now working just dandily. Then I'm browsing the internet, go to a new web page and then it freezes. It completely locks up and I can't do anything. Ctrl-Alt-Del does nothing. So I turn it off and then wait a minute and turn it back on. This time nothing comes up on the screen. I then look down and notice that my hdd light is on, but not my power light...."Hrm...thats odd..."

So I start to do some troubleshooting...reset the CMOS...nothing. I then start disconnecting everything that isn't necessary...still nothing. I can't get a post screen or anything. No system beeps, nothing. I've tried just about every combination of things being plugged in and different RAM sticks.

My guess is that it is the motherboard died.

Here are the essentials of the setup:

DFI LanParty UT nf3 250gb
AMD AMD Athlon XP 64 3000+ 2009MH (socket 754)
1.5gb of Kingston PC 3200 RAM

Any idea what is the equivalent of that setup now? (MB/CPU combo?) I need to get up and running again fast! Newegg is limited as far as motherboards go...especially since I need AGP and SATA. Otherwise i need a new video card.

Thanks.
