My guess about the sniper

Haven't several of the murders taken place in gas stations? Maybe he hates OPEC and figures if he kills enough people at gas stations nobody will go to fill their tanks thereby bankrupting all the middle east oil producers. What a diabolical mind this person has.

A profiler on CNN mentioned a little bit ago that the sniper's only killed blacks.

If you look at the profiles of the victims on CNN's website, there are a couple of black men but there are also white, and hispanic women.

I think the sniper is a guy who just wants to kill someone. I don't think he has any ideas to fulfill. Killing people is a taboo, and is also not natural b/c many who have to kill, during wars, for example, go nuts and never become normal people back again. The sniper is attracted by breaking the taboo, breaking the rules. I'm sure there's a sexual background of his actions, too.

Yeah, that must be it. I'll just revise my hypothesis that gas stations are open areas, and people who frequent them tend to stand still while they're pumping gas, so it's an easy sniper shot.
