After his brake light kept going off, he finally went to an auto-mechanic to get his breaks fixed...

The mechanic told him that the system was so worn, one or two more breaks on the highway, and the break pedal would have just fallen, and that'd be the end of his breaks :Q

kind of scary if you think about it that way...going 65-70 down a highway, and right when you're about to slow down.....surprise

anyways, good thing he got them fixed :)

does $1066 sound like a reasonable price? he later found out he had a warantee, so it won't cost him anything, but they were going to charge him $1066...

Don't auto manufacturers have a certain degree of fail safe to make sure your brakes never fail? I think they use two master cylinders or something right?

maybe they were trying to rip the old guy off and they just slapped on a set of pepboys brakepads.

OK my brain isn't parsing titles correctly tonight... I saw "grandpa" and "died" and thought this was a memorial thread.

what do u mean the brakes are under warrenty?

is the car still under the 36k/3year warrenty protection?

(or hyndai = 10year/100k)
