Fact is Tyson is the best champion anyone can REMEMBER. Its like when you poll people as to who the greatest president was, Bush SR, Regan, Clinton, and GW are all at the top of the list. Most people on here haven't seen a great champion fight live unless they are 40ish, but the fact is there were quite a few better than Tyson.

Micheal Sphinx?

is that is as far back as you can think of a champ you need help

It was a joke. Remeber when he beat Ali? Anyways, I watched that fight on TV in like 75? How old do I have to be to remember a great champion?

Lets see all of these guys were better than Tyson:

Jack Johnson
Jack Dempsey
Joe Louis
Rocky Marciano
Muhammad Ali

and btw I am not that old just have a sense of history.

Long lived does not always equate into the greatest does it? The stones have been playing since before I was born but I would be hard pressed to call them the greatest.

Tyson was a wrecking ball that I was old enough to watch and appreciate, not a historical fiigure. Can you wrap your mind around that?
compared to the bands that have come out in the last 15 - 20 years, they are the greatest.

That's not saying much.

Nope not the greatest. He swung to wildly. If he went up against a boxer that could counter punch and had good punching power he would not last.

You never mentioned the 18 losses and 2 draws he had. I'd hardly call him the greatest ever.

There are far greater boxers.

I just realized you're canadian though. No wonder you said him. LOL
