I don't live on campus or anything, but yesterday, i had to stay in school for 28hours to work on my project. I am an EE student, and we have to finish up this project that me and my group members are working on by the next day, so we stayed in the EE lab to program, solder, and build our project (we kind of procrasinated untill the last minute). What we were building is a micromouse, if you guys know what that is... heres a link to our out of date site link. some of our group members stayed up 28 hours straight, but i took a short hour nap. I just went to bed after i came home, sooo tired, but for some reason i woke up in only 4 hours and can't fall back asleep again.
So has anyone stayed up this long to do their school work/project? Damn, i think i am pretty hardcore...

I agree. I wish I was able to do more of them in college. They are the best way to learn and put what you have learned to practical use.

Not 28 hours doing the same thing. I've been up for over 28 hours doing a multitude of school related things. But yes, 28 hours on the same thing IS hardcore. Go you.

I just tested it in IE and it looks ok, it must be some funky tags that Mozilla does not like.

Must feel good to finish though doesn't it?

actually.... we didn't finish. Our Processor got fried so we couldn't finish it. we spend most of the time fixing the damn thing.

Ah, micromouse, worked on it last year. I cheated and used a lego kit, which is legal, but only for a nice stable frame, since the team was being lazy.

28 hours straight in school is pretty hardcore, but I have a buddy that has done three days straight. I've done three days with short naps to tide me over. This was doing homework and studying for exams. That is hardcore.

How did you guys get the mouse to navigate through the maze? I'm just interested because we did a stereo vision system and we had enough problems finding a red dot on an object. I guess you could just hae a shock sensor and when you hit a wall turn right and kepe going straight until you hit another wall and if you hit another one do a 180 and go left....

I never spent 28 hours straight working on our project but there were definitely 16 hour days and 4 or 5 all nighters...one night every team in the lab had a 12 pack of beer...good times
I hadn't had a pop in like a year and I started drinkin mt dew again during our all nighters...well I had like 6 in 1 night along with 5 or 6 little juans burritos...

i have a friend who practically lives in the school. he went home just to sleep. then before the exams, he would stay in the school studying from 8pm to like noon then go home to sleep. i think he stayed there without going home for a few days too.

i too had to work on a term project overnight. but i did the prototyping/coding/testing/soldering all at home :) got so little sleep those few days had a headache by the time i demo'ed the project.

procrastination = teh suck
