umm...any exercise can "screw up" your body if you do it wrong. lol

Yeah I know, but straight-leg deadlifts are more for your lower back in the first place, not gluts.

I like stiff-leg deadlifts (don't do "straight-leg deadlifts"). They don't mess up your back and I actually feel them the most in my hamstrings. I never do much weight on that exercise, however. I usually take a pair of 105-pound dumbbells (greater range of motion) and do high reps (20-25) at the end of a workout. I don't feel it that much in my erector spinae, but I don't round my back during the exercise (and neither should you).

Far be it for me to correct Koing on anything weightlifting related, but when doing squats, touch your ass to YOUR ankles instead of our ankles. ;)

I've been going to the gym a lot lately. I've been hitting the bench pretty hard and can almost bench over 100 lbs. So, I think that I am adequately strong in the upper body area. However, my gluts are just out of shape. and lack curvature as well as firmness. Can anybody recommend a good workout for my gluts? Where can I find a good glut machine?
Hey, didn't you start your visit to the gym over one and half years ago? Shouldn't you have gone further by now? Did you slack? I think you need a cheerleader now to motivate you! ;) Congrats, anyway, for your efforts so far. Sorry I can't help with the technical stuff here.
