I'm not into fantasy, but L.E. Modesitt Jr. does write some decent scifi: Adiamante, and The Parafaith War are both pretty good. I haven't read any of the Ecolitan stuff yet..

I can relate to her, reading is sooooo much fun. It allows you to tune out the world and go into an entirely different world that you add images too as you read along. The most I have read in one sitting was Red Storm Rising by Tom Clancy. I think it is in the 800-900 page range, but I have not looked at it in the past 6 monthes. All together it took about 9.5 hours to read (including bathroom and grabbing a pop breaks)

Oh, BTW, she does have a nice butt... not that I was looking though 😉
