I have a problem I hoped I wouldn't run into. If something looks (or will look) stupid on me, I want someone to say I look (or will look) stupid.

Now my girlfriend wants her bellybutton pierced... For the most part, she is very sexy, but she just does not have the stomach to show off a belly ring (she's just getting a little stud I think). Its not that she's fat, just it's that you need to be really toned to make it look great.

I can't say for sure that it won't look good, but I don't want to have her hear bad things from people because of it. Obviously I can't say "hey honey, you're too fat to have a belly ring" so how can I let her know? I tried suggesting a small tatoo on the small of her back (those are very sexy). Do I just let her get one and not say anything? I'm sure it will be fine, but some people are very rude and I don't want her feelings to get hurt by some idiot.
 
Well, she can always take it out if it doesn't look good, right? Besides, I think a pierced navel looks good even on a not-so-toned girl. Although if my gf ever gets one, I'll kill her! (not literally 🙂 )
 
Tell her she can do it only if she does her nipples too.😀 My wife had hers done and its great.

I didn't even think of that, but the thing is, I know she will like it. I'm just worried because lots of people are real asholes.
 
I think belly rings are dead sexy on any girl except fat chicks. If her stomach is presentable enough that she wouldn't mind drawing attention to it, tell her to go for it.
 
i don't think you necessarily have to have the stomach for it to get one. I also don't think anyone's any more likely to show off their stomach once they get a belly ring. I also don't think people are more likely to make comments.

basically, although her belly might look different, I don't think getting it pierced will change anything.
 
my old g/f did that...it also causes problems for a while, gotta watch out for any thing that might rub it a lot...like u!...takes a while for it not to be sore
 
well she might not even be able to get one, my gf wanted one but when we went they said they wouldnt do it cuz there wasnt enough skin hanging over or whatever and if she ever layed on her back it would push itself out and scar. Make sure you go to a good place if you do take her. Lot of places will pierce it even if it shouldnt be.

maybe my thoughts on needing a perfect stomach for a belly ring are not what most people think. You're making me feel better about my girl getting one.
 
dunno, I heard like belly button piercings get infected really easily, lik 70% of the time

though my sister did get hers done, and since she was paranoid and swabbing it out every 2-3 hours, she was fine
 
If it makes her feel sexy and attractive, then she should get the piercing. It will close up quickly if she changes her mind. Plus, if she is feeling good about herself, she is going to that much more fun to be around. Anyway, no harm can come from her getting pierced, so why not encourage her to try it. I bet it would make her feel great just to hear you say you support her idea.
 
If she wants to try it, go ahead and encourage her... if some butthead makes a comment, take his a@@ down.

Now that I've rated you a '1', I can comment. Even mediocre chicks can look good with the pierced navel. I recommend it. Fat chicks, no. Take these words of wisdom and spread them to all the females you know.

Low rise jeans are good too.

my rule of thumb is this:

if you can fit a small stack of coins in the belly button...a small of the back tattoo would look much better.
