I know what I posted seems superficial. But I would like to think the person who is going out with you finds you attractive. Why go out with someone who appears average to you??

She does find you attractive, or else she wouldn't be your gf. She might have been trying to say that while she finds you attractive (in my eyes you look good), she thinks that others would find you average, as you find yourself even.

We weren't there,we aren't privy t her voice tone or facial expression when she said it..the point is that it bothered him enough to post about it and post his pic, I think he needs to tell her how that made him feel.

The whole thing seems silly and a bit whiny/needy to me. She obviously finds him attractive in some way or she wouldn't be with him in the first place. He needs, hell we all need, to stop over analyzing relationships and just enjoy the time he/we spend with his/our GF or BF.

This is a classic. it also clearly shows the difference between men and women.

I posted something about objectifying women once and how men and women start off w/ basically different premises about physical appearence. You have to understand her statement in that context.

only recently have WHAT a man looks like become an issue w/ women and it's more cultural than it is natural. the natural inclination of women is to want to be around men that they feel comfortable around, not necessarily someone that is attractive.

men are basically the opposite. Women just don't find physical attractiveness as important as men do.
