We sat down to watch the movie. We got maybe 20 minutes into the movie at the scene when everyone is noticing the first explosion in one of the trade centers and I told her that I didnt want to watch anymore. I dont think Im overly emotional about the whole thing, but it was just soo sad and depressing and emotional when the actual event occured, I dont really want to experience it all over again by watching a movie about it. I dont think Im going to see "The World trade Center" with Nick Cage in it either.
Anyone feel the same way?

Hollywood is just trying to make a buck from the controversy over whether or not its ethical for them to try and make a buck from the controversy. It's genius and stomach turning at the same time, as all good businesses are...
That said, I'm not watching../.

This whole 911 thing has got me thinking something is wrong with me. I"m just not effected by it at all. I was home the day it happened and watched it on tv. I realize there was a lot of death, and it was a horrible tragedy, but I have no emotions about it. The only feelings I've had was disgust for the way our goverment handled it. I get more emotional watching something like saving private ryan or band of brothers.
But you have no disgust for the animals who robbed families of their loved ones? Even by forcing some of them to lunge to their deaths?

wasnt united 93 the one where many of the actors on the plane in the show were ACTUALLY on flight 93 that day?

I saw United 93 opening night. It was packed and there wasn't a dry eye in the house when it was over.
Edit: I do agree with acemcmac to an extent. Hollywood loves to capitalize on tragedy.

United 93 was a very good movie, but it was VERY stressful for me to watch. I was angry and sad and all mixed up after the movie much like I was on 9/11 itself

I have a problem with some movie company / actors profitting of a national tragedy.
Nobody else finds this a little sick and fvcked up?
Is a movie about D-Day any different?
If this is what it takes for people like sourceninja and Runes911 to be able to personalize it and understand the suffering of those who lived through it or died, then I'm all for it.

No comment on the movie.
It's not surprising the passengers did what they did. They knew the hijackers intended to crash the plane so taking control was the only option for survival.

Don't watch Path to 9/11 then. It's simply 5 hours of you knowing what's going to happen, and our government doing almost nothing about it.

I have no intention whatsoever to watch any of the movies made about 9/11. It would be like picking a scab off of a wound just to feel more pain. Not my idea of a healthy way to heal the wound.

You should only allowed to say things like that if you actually lost a loved one there.

I love how people always put a spin on these things and try to make it look like everyone was "heroic". No one knows what happened on that plane. Personally, I highly doubt that the passangers crashed the plane to prevent it from being crashed into a building. In these situations it's every man for himself, they would of been thinking of saving their own a$$es.

Perhaps, but remember not everyone is as selfish as yourself. There are actually people out there, common joes and janes, who would sacrifice themselves to save others.
