I'm sorry to hear that. It's a complete change for your life and maybe that will turn out to be a good thing in time. Talk to friends, talk to family, and give yourself some time to get over her. It will happen before you know it.

Damn, Eli, that really sucks. From all your previous posts you two seemed like a very happy and together couple. There's nothing I can say that will make you feel any better but my one suggestion is if you think this is really permanent on her part, then go out and get laid asap; it does in fact help at least a little bit.

Dude's wife cheats with the scuba instructor on their honeymoon cause she was scared of marriage. then he meets the perfect (read: not perfect) girl and fell in love. then kicked his wife to the curb when she came crawling back in a few weeks

I remember when I got dumped after a few years together. Didn't see it coming neither. I feel your pain. Throw yourself in your work or studies, pick up a new hobby and abstain from phoning her. If she wants to talk, she'll let you know.

Bitches suck.

I know everyone is going to say you're better off without her, or you'll find someone better.
But only you can make that call, and only you know what you want.

One thing is definitely true. Time will ease the pain, but not necessarily take it all away.

Yes, it does have something to do with it.

But she smoked with me. I mean if it was that big of a deal all she would have to do is say something and I would've quit.

I begged and pleaded with her... that we could still work this out.. but it didn't matter because I guess she had fallen out of love with me..

I think saying "I love you" and suddenly not getting it back after saying it a dozen times a day to eachother for the last 3.8 years hurt the most..

She had a serious communications issue. She just wouldn't talk about her feelings...
