her 3 year old dell XPS is working perfectly fine for her uses (work, spreadsheets, surfing, skype), except the battery doesn't hold much of a charge. i'll be getting her a replacement.
i put a SSD in there last year which improved responsiveness.

I picked up my first mac earlier this year with the intentin of putting Windows 7 on it. Still haven't, and don't plan on it anymore.

i startd using a macbook pro for the first time a little less than a year ago, took a while to get used to, having only used windows machines, but now it's my go to machine.... my wife likes it so much that i've been thinking about getting her the mb-air. she really only does skype and facebook and general web browsing.....
