Not all chicks play mind games though ....

That said, most of them do, and most of them do it whenever it plays to their advantage, which is most of the time ....
This is not the fault of women. This is the fault of men. Women play stupid mind games because GUYS KEEP FALLING FOR IT. If she knows you'll fall in line when she acts dramatic and stupid, then obviously she'll keep doing that until it stops working.

It's just like those guys who train their dogs to act stupid and train their kids to be annoying. Child wants toy. Parent says no. Child screams like a retard and makes a huge scene. Parent buys the toy. Lesson: making a huge scene = toys

If a woman is manipulative and plays games to get what she wants, then perhaps the guy should not be so gullible, but, the woman should not manipulate in the first place as it's not really ethical IMO.

Anyhow, I simply found myself a woman who does not try to manipulate me or game me, and that's worked well for me so far :)

We're on a tight budget so my wife told me to not spend too much on her. I got her a card nonetheless, but I decided to skip the overpriced flowers and dinner. Flowers are so cheap after Valentine's Day and one of our favorite restaurants is having a buy one get one sale on the 15th and 16th.

If a girl dumps you because you didn't do enough, then you never wanted her in the first place. You should probably do something to acknowledge it though. But there's no need to spend $80 to have flowers delivered or something. This is even more true once you get married. If I spent a lot of money on a Valentine's Day gift for my wife, she'd be happy but then she'd think about how much money I spent and it would hurt her enjoyment of it. It gets better over time; women are conditioned from an early age to expect men to go absolutely over the top with romance on every important date (birthdays, V-day, Christmas, anniversaries) so by setting her expectations to a reasonable level each year, she'll come to appreciate little things like a simple card, a chick flick on Netflix, and some cuddling.

My wife told me that I should buy her hot single co-worker flowers for V-Day, as she currently doesn't have a SO and it would make her happy...

Does that make my wife = win?

You don't need to avoid dramatic people. Just keep it real and be yourself. Do things because you think it's the right thing to do, not because it's something someone else told you to do. Don't feed their bullshit. Do not try to read between the lines. Always use the literal meaning of what they say. Do not act upset unless you really are upset. Do not give fake apologizes or fake interest. Simply put - don't lie.

I'm a stereotype guy that doesn't show emotions well, and I always take the literal meaning of what is said. Just being myself seems to prevent most types of drama. People walk away and expect me to chase them. I don't chase them. They stop doing it.

That would seriously look like you're suggesting a 3 way. Not even joking.

You're in the right here GoStumpy. The flowers are likely to mean more to this woman from a man than from a woman and a man.

I found out by accident last night that my girlfriend is adopted.

We were in bed together and I'm shouting, "Who's the daddy, Who's the daddy?"

"I don't know!" she replied, "There's an agency looking for him but they don't have any clues."

LOL at responses. Yeah, she's not a 'trap' type of girl. What she says, she means it.

Very well said, young grasshopper.

This. No matter what a woman says, make sure you make a verifiable effort on Valentines day. You don't want to be "that guy who didn't care enough".

Yes. Even I told my lady I hate V Day. I am still going to cook her dinner and take her out to a movie though :) Damn I'm hungry.

It is good when the two people are mature enough to not have to worry about this insignificant crap. We do things for each other all the time no special occasion needed.

V day is bullshit.
