We are arriving around noon, and picking up a rental car for the day at Miami International. What do you all recommend for dining and entertainment?

I have been to Miami. Infact at one time I owned the whole city. Everybody knew me and respected me. I was the king. But don't think that I got it all for free. I worked very hard for it. I really suggest that you go to Prawn island. You can get a plane from there. From there, fly to the military base. Over there steal a military helicopter and go on a crime spree. But watch out for those nasty cops. They really catch up to ya. All in all, try to jack as many cars as possible and get in hilarious police chases.

If you don't know what I am talking about, look at my username 🙂

forget anything else and just hit southbeach!! get the gf in a thong and topless and bring back pics!

You should rent a boat and head for Cuba. It would be a hilarious outing with the Coast Guard following you and lobbing shells across your bow. If you make it you can tell the Cuban authorities you are defecting from the Evil Empire and seeking safe haven in the land of plenty. They will give you lots of news coverage and treat you like royalty.

what part of miami? staying near the airport or south beach or somewhere else?

I grew up there but haven't been in much since i started college so I cannot comment much on restaurants. But for food, the biggest name in Miami is Joe's Stone Crabs. I don't know anything about crab seasons (if there are such a thing) but expect a long wait.

Entertainment:
For clubs/bars in miami, go to coconut grove (cocowalk and mayfair areas) early and south beach picks up as that dies. Bayside is a large outdoor mall that tends to be popular among tourists but I haven't been too keen on it for some years.
For daytime activities, Museum of Science, Seaquariam, Parrot Jungle, and the Metrozoo are all great places.

Any questions, feel free to PM.

Now that all the wannabe's have offered their lame advice, let someone from this part of the planet answer your question.
South Beach? It's nothing more than an overrated tourist trap. Crowded with fools who still think this place is happening and who think that being seen with a cell phone in their ear while standing on line to get into a club that charges $6 for a bottle of Bud is the height of making it.
Joe's Stone Crab? Another tourist trap where fools from New York pay $60 for a plate of crabs.
You're renting a car, I see? This will be good.........one wrong turn and you're in Liberty City or Overtown. Who is preparing your eulogy?
As for dining, you can't beat Pollo Tropical. It's Hispanic fast food served up by illegal Cubans and Haitians. Just follow the Elian Gonzalez shrines to the nearest location.
Entertainment.............let's see..........oh, yeah, park near the shoreline and watch the inner tubes float in to shore with families of illegals. Then you can follow them as they skip to the downtown Miami Welfare Office for free Yankee dollars, housing, and medical care.
Ah, yes, Welcome to Miami. Oh, and don't forget, no habla ingles, beloved patriot maricon.

Get nekkid, stay in the room all the time and play with eachother, order room servide and have a good time...

Where exactly do you live? I grew up in Miami and the only thing your post displays is huge amounts of ignorance.

Then again, what else should we expect from you?

Anyway, unless you're into the South Beach thing, there isn't much to do in Miami. Maybe go see Coconut Grove or Key Biscayne.

pulse8, you need a change of scenery. Your perspective is one dimensional. You need to see something else besides Dade County. Besides, you can always watch Cops. Dade is profiled at least once a month.

As much as dislike Florida, your view is definately skewed. Anyway. Coral Gables is nice. They have a couple of really nice parks. I could find a few if you're interested. Also, some of the jazz clubs are nice there. If you're not the type of person that enjoys clubbing and wild nights, Miami isn't for you. (It wasn't for me... 😱) Also, Key Biscayne has beautiful beaches with great sunrises. Or you could drive to Key West (about 1-2 hours) and check out the sunset. 🙂

Not much to do in Miami other then drive around and get lost .

I did that during work one day. Got lost in a crane of all things. I found every airport Miami has, and that is a few. One big one has a runway right off an interstate that seems always rushhour. Neat to watch those big jets almost touch the tops of cars when they are landing 😉

Rascal House is a nice deli to go to. There is also the Aventura Mall and Loehman's plaza. Although they're not much different than any other malls really.

I've been in a scenery change for almost 3 years now. I very much disliked living in Miami, but your post (as usual) just displays to the rest of the forum what an ignorant ass you are. 🙂
