My gf got a parking ticket

actually, I wrote them once and they sent the ticket back to me, even though I told them she was in Japan. Morons.

To the City of xxx,
I have recently received the attached letter in regards to a parking ticket for [gf]. There seems to be a bit of confusion in your office as [gf] has already returned home to Japan. She stayed at my residence for mere days, thus she had no chance of receiving the letter in time. However, what is surprising to me is that I helped her write the previous letter which described, very articulately and meticulously mind you, her exact situation, including, but not limited to, her future residence and contact information. Thus we are left with two situations: the previous letter was either read or discarded without thought.

If the previous letter was in fact left unread, I strongly encourage the responsible party to peruse its contents. Contained within are some of her final statements before her departure from this country. She has always been a law abiding citizen; driven by the honor and respect that has been passed down from thousands of generations of the [gf] lineage. It is in her blood to maintain an honest life akin to her great ancestors who roamed the Japanese countryside. I?m more than confident that sympathy will be had by the conclusion of her letter.

However, if the previous letter had been read, then my time and efforts today have been entirely wasted. She included her contact information, yet the letter was sent to me nonetheless. Fortunately, I have taken the proper steps to inform the responsible party as dictated by an employee of your department during a previous phone encounter.

I sincerely hope this has unclouded all confusion surrounding the topic. If not, please contact me at xxxx.

Yeah, so there you go. I was trying to be as over the top as possible. I like messing with them 🙂

Not gonna read it but you probably deserved it, quit bitching and pay 😉

lol, I agree but it was her, not me, who got the ticket. She was a really good citizen though, and she really didn't deserve the ticket. (which I explained in the first letter)

She was in Japan so they dropped it. She hasn't been back since anyway.

Not exactly clear about what you are trying to say...hard to follow. What is your desired result from these letters? You may obviously be looking for a reversal but you never mention it. Just that your [gf] is back in Japan and you want them to read your letters. Doesn't really let anybody off the hook from anything...you still have a ticket, it's nice that she's back in Japan, but it just means that she would have to mail the check from there. Nobody looks to be a moron here - the car was parked unlawfully and they just want their money. If it's your car and she was driving then you do realize that YOU still owe, nuff said. Otherwise I'd be parking in the handicap spaces all the time and it would be my cousin Vito from Russia driving my car all the time. Maybe write them another letter, send the $15 along with it and get this out of your system...

I wanted to let them know that they didn't send the letter to the right person, like I already informed them of.

This was over 7 months ago, and it was already dropped, as I knew it would be 😉

Oh, and this was her car, not mine

WTF are you talking about?!? I'd send you another fine just for wasting my time with this useless gibberish if I were working for the city.

As fun as that sort of thing is to write, you can't expect to be taken seriously by writing it.

I know! I wasn't trying to be taken seriously. They messed up so I was just messing around with them. That's why they dropped the ticket 😀
