Honestly, I'm not that great at videogames. I mean I'm not bad, but I've never done anything that I was consider noteworthy. I'm probably around average in terms of skill.

All plat in blaster corp
100% in gt4
Unlocking everything in goldeneye
Getting 60m in one trick in thps2
Killing emerald and ruby weapon in ff7 without using clouds limit or that one summon
Killing sleeper in eq
World 1 arthas kill in wow

Wow, cool

Back in '98-2000-ish, I was ranked #22 in the world in the original Jedi Knight on the Microsoft Gaming Zone.

I bring it up a lot on dates...

Beat Ghosts 'n Goblins on the hardest difficulty level on the NES.

Oh yeah, did I mention there is only one difficulty level on GnG?

Actually, that's not true. If you do the stage select code, go to the last level, beat it, and then continue, do the stage select again, etc.

The difficulty level keeps going up. Which basically means that the monsters get faster. So fast, it turns out, that they only blink a few times before crossing the whole screen.
(Monster_X = Monster_X + difficulty_level)

The game gets positively CRAZY around like a 30 difficulty level.

I beat Hudson's Adventure Island for NES. (After many continues)
I also beat Deadly Towers (with a rapid-fire joystick)
Those were two of the most difficult games to beat.
I never beat Athena for NES, I could get through all 8 worlds, and to the final end boss (on a single life), but I never figured out how to beat it. The second issue of GamePro had I think the trick that you need to beat it, but I never found a copy of that mag. You had to get some special item in some world, in order to unlock the weapon to beat the last guy.

I could beat CastleVania with one life. Also Contra, and I think GnG.

Beat the NES Tetris level 29 kill screen. The only known person to have ever done so. Listed at TG. I think Jonas will do it before too long though, he's got it in him.

Is that even possible?

The original NES Tetris becomes impossible at Level 29, at which point the pieces drop too fast to move them into the extreme left and right edges of the screen, which is why later games adopt the "lock delay" mechanic, first seen in Sega's 1988 arcade version of Tetris, that allows a piece to still be moved around when it hits the stack or floor.

Yeap :) My counter was developing a hyper-tap technique, as every instant you hit the d-pad the piece will correspondingly move one space. Tap fast enough, and it's faster than the piece can move by holding the d-pad down.

You can see me listed at TG NES Tetris under 'highest level achieved' at level 30. It's kind of fun to pass by what most considered impossible.

depending on the games, i'm terrible now :(

i used to be awesome at perfect dark, f-zero, and sonic games back in the day...i recently tried playing perfect dark on the 360 arcade, f-zero on the wii virtual console, and sonic on some ps3 collection. i really really really sucked :(

i'm still super awesome at mario kart and the earlier mario games though :D

Oh man, that's crazy. Are you serious? I didn't think it was possible. Do you have video of it? I feel like that would get some views.

N64:
-All levels beaten on every difficulty on Perfect Dark and Golden Eye
-All cheats unlocked in Goldeneye and Perfect Dark
-Gold stars on all the weapons training mini-games on Perfect Dark

PC:
-F.E.A.R on extreme difficulty with no slo-mo (bound the key to some unreachable bullshit to force myself not to cheat)
-All Left 4 Dead (1 and 2) campaigns beaten on expert mode
-Beat all ut2k4 Alien Swarm campaigns. This was easily the hardest.

I hope to add beaten Amnesia to this list soon. Not that the game is hard... I'm just scared :(

Wow. I am humbled.

I've got a video, but as of now it's sort of under NDA, as it's the closing scene of a documentary about the game. Hopefully it'll be out soon, it got a great reception at premieres at the SanFran, Austin, and Amsterdam film festivals.
