Use the bait and switch method...

A. Find a perfectly good video cassette.
B. Screw it up, royally. (If you need ideas, click here )
C. Affix a label on the now royally screwed up video cassette.
D. Label the label "Pop Stars"
E. Find a Post-It note, or something of the similar make.
G. Write a nice, caring, sweet message on the note saying how much you love her and would do anything for her and it was your pleasure to tape this for her because you know how much it means to her and that you love doing things for her.
H. Make sure the aforementioned note does not contain a run-on sentance.
I. Stick the note on the video tape.
J. Give her the tape.
K. When she asks whats wrong with the tape, make sure to turn the question around... "Honey, what's wrong with the tape? I can't get it to work." "I don't know, it worked perfectly fine for me... What IS wrong with the tape?"
L. Convince her the tape was damaged due to "an act of god." (got that one off of my insurance's laywer repellant)
